Can we just be us? Part 23

Part 23

Awhile later Hamad was laying in the bed and Meera next to him with her head on his chest and shoulder while he had his arm around her. Just the warmth of his body calmed her down. She was never so close to any man like she is right now with Hamad. Their bodies touched and she could hear him breathing.

Hamad: Meera why don't you grab your things and stay in my room tonight

Meera got up from his chest and turned her head to him. Hamad panicked and said

Hamad: you know because Sara is here so if you did not tell her about our arrangement

Meera was disappointed but she thought that it made sense. Since they were pretending they have to go all in.

Meera: yeah right, I'll grab my things now that she is sleeping

She got up and left the room.

Meera's point of view:

Why am I disappointed? it is not like I want him to want me. Do I? I'm not expecting him to change his mind suddenly since we started this as a business, it's not a normal marriage like other people.

The morning after...

Meera was at the kitchen preparing breakfast since it was the weekend and Sarah was still asleep. She wondered how it would be like having a teenager living with them for a month. Her sister was a rebellious difficult child ever since she was younger and their mother had enough of her that so she just stopped caring.

Hamad: morning

His hair a little wet from the shower he had after going to the gym.

Meera: morning,  did u have breakfast yet?

Hamad: not yet

It was the first time he saw her cook. It was their first weekend together and this was a side of her he hasn't seen before with an apron.  Sitting on the kitchen stool he watched her prepare breakfast, the feeling of being taken care of was overwhelming.

Hamad: how is it going?

Referring to Sara

Meera: she is still asleep

He got up and walked over to her standing right behind her

Hamad: I like you like this

Meera remained quite knowing he was right behind her and she refused turning around knowing she would lose control over her body. Taking one step closer he had his hands on her hips slowing sliding to her back. It was like he read her mind, she wanted this, said nothing and just stood there.

Hamad: let me get that for you

He adjusted the apron knot at the back taking his sweet time. His hands sliding back to the side of her hips and grabbed on to them slightly and took another step closer making his body stick to hers with no space between them. It's like his mind went blank and his body moved on its own. He rested his head on her shoulder and took a big whiff intoxicating his senses by the smell of the eggs she was making and a little scent of her shampoo.

Hamad: it smells good

Meera on the other hand did not move a muscle, she was just living the moment taking it all in.

Sarah: morning

She said sitting on the stool and witnessing a newlywed couple show their affection  early in the morning, she just figure it was normal but boy was it a new level for Hamad and Meera.

After having their awkward encounter then having breakfast it was silent and everyone just sat around the table. Meera wanting to discuss Sarah situation but not knowing how to start.

Sarah: are you going to say something or just stare at me?

Meera: you know what you did was wrong

Sarah: yes I do and I'm sorry

Meera: don't say that just to get off the hook, your still grounded no car no friends

Sarah: fine (sounding displeased but obedient)

Hamad just sat at the table watching both sisters fight, it was a first for him.

Since he was a second child and not having any younger brothers or sisters to fight with.

Hamad: do you want to pass by the house and get the rest of your stuff?

Sarah: yeah since I'm staying here for a WHOLE month

Meera just ignored that last comment and wanted to go through the day without further stress and bad news, she could only handle so little.

Hamad: come on let's go

Sarah: can I drive

she turned to Meera and said

Sarah: just kidding

It was going to be a long weekend is what Meera thought.
