Normal? 4

PART 4

Mahra: mama, baba ana emwaf8a 3ala elzawaaj, batzawaj rashid

Mahra’s mom: emwaf8a, (she had this neutral look on her face), channa kan 3nch ray ya3nii

What her mother meant is that she knew her daughter was going to say yes. She knew exactly what her own daughter would do. Her daughter was like a
puppet to her not her own blood and flesh.

Mahra’s mom: 5ala9 benete9el 3alaihm o bagoolm

The next few weeks…

Mahra’s mom: elwrood betkoon lonha 7amra

That is what they did for the past week, the only thing they have been talking about is the wedding day. The melcha is after a few days. Everything was rushed because they kids would be travelling soon. Mahra was just numb they talked and she nodded. And that was it. She didn’t even know what dress she was going to wear for her own melcha. Ever since that day she hasn’t seen Rashid. She wondered what was his situation with all of this.

Rashid’s mom: mahra 7abeebti, sho betelbseen 7ag elmelcha

Mahra: aaahhh, ba3adnii ma 8arart

Mahra’s mom: shooo tetrain ba3ad?

Rashid’s mom: la la ma3alaih, seerii elyoom o esharailch ela3raa’9

Mahra: inshalla :)

In rashid’s mizra3a…

Fahad: ha ya3nii betetzawaj?

Rashid: fahood sho tbanii asawii, elwalda elgaila, ma3arf sho asawii

Fahad: sho ensawii fi hal halaat ba3ad

Rashid: ‘bs law drait ya fahad’

Fahad is rashid’s best friend who was going to study with rashid in Canada. The plan was 2 best buddies studying outside the country having adventurous trips. But their plan wasn't what they expected.

In the mall…

Arwa: what the hell is wrong with you, your not even looking at the dresses!!

Mahra: arwoo sho tbainii asawii ya3nii, mool mob wakta ashara fsaateen

Arwa: 9dg ena mafeech fayda, this is your engagement ok, listen I know you don’t want this marriage but you have to look good ok

Mahra: FINE!!! Yallah lets look for one

They shopped and shopped and couldn’t find anything.

Mahra: this is hopeless

Arwa: ohh come on they are still more shops on the other side.

They were looking and searching until this beautifull green mixed with purple dress hanging (not ay green color but the light sexy one). It's like it was waiting for mahra to find it.

Arwa: it is sooo this one

Mahra: omg I know right

Arwa: try it on, NOWWWWWW

Mahra: FINEEEEEEE

Mahra came out wearing the dress, the dress shaped her body in the most perfect way it brought out her eye color perfectly and her it matched her skin tone.

Arwa: its perfect

Mahra: rly?

Arwa: ofcourse, we are soo getting this

It was finally the engagement day and the girls were getting ready. They were done and the place was packed with their closest friends and family. It was time for mahra to make an entrance.

Mahra: arwoo im nervous

Arwa: mn sho?? Don’t worry you will do fine, yallah they are waiting

Mahra walked with all eyes on her, it was time. Today was the first day that she was going to see Rashid since this whole thing started. She was kind of nervous knowing the he was forced into as well. She knew it because saeed told her.

She made her way to her seat then watched the girls dance and have fun. It was a weird experience for her, it was usually her dancing with the girls. It is different watching them than actually joining them. She wondered how the rest of the night will go.

Mahra: arwoo im nervous (she said it while whispering into arwa’s ears)

Arwa: don’t panic everything is going well

It was time, the time that mahra was waiting for. She had no idea what to expect, nothing at all. Rashid came in looking as hot as he can be in his kandoora and ghitra. He made his way to mahra and took a seat beside her. mahra didn’t know what to do so she just sat there waiting to find a reaction to all this from his face. Apparently his face said nothing, not a smile nor a frown. He was neutral to all of this. She sat here next to him trying to sell the fact that they were a perfect couple. The couple that everyone would be jealous from.

Both their parents made a great effort at keeping the whole story behind the marriage to people. Little did the people know the real story.
